New to Hearth, or just have a question before you book? Here's what patients ask us most.

Insurance & Payment

We believe great dental care should be accessible. Here's what you need to know about costs and coverage.

We accept most major dental insurance plans including Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, Guardian, and many more. Contact us with your specific plan and we'll verify your benefits before your visit so there are no surprises.
No problem! We offer an in-house membership plan for uninsured patients that covers preventive care at a discounted rate. We also offer flexible payment plans for larger treatments. Ask us about our Hearth Care Plan at your next visit.
We file claims on your behalf and handle the paperwork so you don't have to. We'll maximize your benefits and let you know upfront what your portion will be. Most patients are pleasantly surprised by how much we're able to cover.
We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, debit cards, and CareCredit for financing larger treatments. We believe financial concerns shouldn't keep anyone from getting the care they need.

First Visit / What to Expect

Walking into a new dentist's office can feel daunting. Here's everything you need to know before your first visit.

Your first visit is all about getting to know you. We'll start with a friendly conversation about your dental history, concerns, and goals. Then we'll do a comprehensive exam, take digital X-rays if needed, and discuss any findings. We'll never rush you or pressure you into treatment — this visit is about building a plan together.
Plan for about 60-90 minutes for your first visit. We like to take our time getting to know you and your dental health. Subsequent visits are typically 30-60 minutes depending on the treatment.
Please bring your insurance card, a list of any medications you're taking, and any relevant dental records if you're transferring from another practice. We'll also need you to fill out some paperwork — you can do this online before your visit to save time.
Absolutely — you're not alone, and we completely understand. We work with anxious patients every day and have lots of strategies to help you feel comfortable. We can talk through your concerns beforehand, take things at your pace, and even use relaxation techniques during your visit. Just let us know when you book — we'll make sure you get the extra time and attention you deserve.
We offer a complimentary consultation for new patients that includes an initial exam and discussion of your concerns. If X-rays or additional diagnostics are needed, we'll discuss the cost before proceeding.

Appointments & Scheduling

We make booking and managing your appointments as easy as possible.

You can book online through our website in under two minutes, or call us at (555) 123-4567. We also welcome walk-ins for urgent needs, though scheduled appointments get priority.
Yes! We love making it convenient for families. We can schedule multiple family members back-to-back or even at the same time, so you can all get taken care of in one trip.
Life happens — we get it. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice when possible so we can offer that time to another patient. You can reschedule online, by phone, or by text. We never make you feel bad about needing to change plans.
Yes! We're open until 6pm on weekdays and 9am-2pm on Saturdays to accommodate busy schedules. Early morning appointments are also available on request.

Cleanings & Treatment

Common questions about procedures, safety, and what to expect during treatment.

For most patients, we recommend professional cleanings every six months. However, some patients with gum disease or other conditions may benefit from more frequent visits — every three to four months. We'll recommend the right schedule for your individual needs.
Yes. We use digital X-rays, which expose you to up to 80% less radiation than traditional film X-rays. The amount of radiation from a dental X-ray is extremely small — less than you'd get from a day of natural background radiation. We only take X-rays when clinically necessary.
Tooth-colored composite fillings typically last 5-10 years with proper care. We monitor your fillings at every checkup and will let you know if one needs attention. Good oral hygiene and regular visits help them last as long as possible.
Professional whitening is very safe when done under dental supervision. We use products that are gentle on your enamel while delivering noticeable results. We'll make sure whitening is appropriate for your teeth before proceeding.
We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for patients who need extra relaxation during procedures. For more extensive anxiety, we can discuss other options. Our goal is to make every visit comfortable.

Emergencies

Dental emergencies can be scary. Here's what to do and how we can help — fast.

Severe toothache, knocked-out tooth, broken or cracked tooth, lost filling or crown, abscess or swelling, or any injury to your teeth or gums. If you're in significant pain or worried, call us — we'd rather you check than suffer.
Yes! We reserve time in our schedule every day for emergency patients. Call us as early as possible and we'll do our best to see you the same day. If it's after hours, our answering service will connect you with the on-call dentist.
Time is critical! Find the tooth, hold it by the crown (not the root), and try to gently place it back in the socket. If that's not possible, store it in milk or saliva. Call us immediately — if you come in within 30 minutes, there's a good chance we can save the tooth.
Call our office number — you'll reach our answering service which will connect you with the on-call dentist for urgent situations. For life-threatening emergencies, always call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room first.
